"Joy to the world" Thank You card

Hello, Patricia here to bring you the card of the day.  Today continues the theme of holiday thank you cards.  I find it wonderful to give cards to everyone who has come into my life, including any person who has waited on me throughout the year.  This includes the postal staff, wait staff at your favorite eating place, beautician, or barber.   A simple card will cheer them up and brighten their day.  This card is simple and cute.  Have a few on hand to give to them when you are out.  Come to my blog, MDN Creates to see how to make this card, then come tomorrow to see Christine's Thank you card.  Until then, have a great day.

Holiday - Thank You Card

Good Morning (and maybe Good Afternoon to many of you!)

I apologize for the delay in today's post.  My laptop crashed about 2 weeks ago and we were able to recover most of our data - documents and pictures.  Unfortunately I didn't get my calendar back and though I thought I had recreated most of it, there were some things I missed and this was one of them!

Luckily I had a project ready to go - just posting a little late.

For my holiday thank you card, I'm showing you a card I made for my friend's daughter who just loves monkeys.  We are going to get together with her mom and her sister to make thank you cards for their Christmas gifts.  This is the card sample for her to make her own:

Isn't he cute??  I think she'll love to make these to send out.  For details, please stop by my blog by clicking here.

What kind of thank you cards are you making this year?  Are you making any thank you cards at all?

Have a wonderfully crafty day!

Thankfulness

Here is a Thank you Card for the Thanksgiving Holiday. So recently passed I thought it might inspire you to send a thank you note to those who were the cooks or the hostesses of your Thanksgiving. Creating all that food and environment and space sometimes for so many people can be daunting without many helpful hands. This card was created by Kelly S. with a freebie I posted on my blog a couple of  Fridays ago. It is still available. I am definitely thank you for Kelly's creativity when using my files. I hope you enjoy for more info, please visit my blog.

Have a wonderful day!
Enjoy!
Chris

PS come back tomorrow for....Lucy Kelleher and see what she has to offer us for inspiration in the holiday thank you theme. Enjoy!

We would love for you to share your creations and a comment would be greatly appreciated.

Please join us again tomorrow, when Chris Durnan will grace us with another of her creative cards.

Happy Hanukkah Too

Happy Thanksgiving.  Patricia here to bring you the card of the day.  This is a Happy Hanukkah card.  Simple and cute.  It is really simple to make.  The image I used is from the Microsoft image library online, and downloaded to Ms Publisher to print it out.  I used an unlikely source to print the image on, folder paper.  Since I am not using a photo, it is does not matter if it is photo-safe or not.  I colored it with copic markers.  The rest is just matting the image, popping them up and writing Happy Hanukkah on the bottom of the card.
To find out how to make this card, and the story behind it, come over to my blog, MDN Creates.   Come back tomorrow to see a card Lucy made for you, then find out how to make it on her own blog.   Until then, I will see you next time.

Happy Hanukkah

Hello Card Makers!! Welcome to CAD blog. I am Terri from  the  Ramblings of a Texas Craft Room Blog. Where I blog about card making and scrap booking. I will be your designer today. Thank you for stopping by.

Today I have a Hanukkah card. This was a hard card for me to design because I know very little of the Hanukkah holiday. So I spent some time on the web and discovered a ton about Hanukkah. The Dreidel got my attention. It looked like it would be fun to play. So I made a spinning Dreidel card for you today. It was a simple card to make once I figured out how to get the Dreidel to spin. I had to make the Drediel 3D, to get it to spin when the card is opened.
As you can see in the pictures. I used a 2 inch circle punch to make the hole for the Dreidel. I made 4 cuts of the Dreidel from the Joys of the Season Cartridge. I scored each Dreidel about 1/8 of a inch on one side  and glued the Dreidel together making it 3D. I then took the top  the Dreidel ( where the kids would spin it) and folded in toward the string. I glued it in place on the string. I ran the string across the circle on the inside of the card. I glued the 4 tops of the Dreidel to the string.
I cut the Dreidel at 2 inches.

I cut an extra grey card stock panel to fit inside the card. To cover the string. I used the circle punch to make the hole as I did for the front.
I cut the Happy Hanukkah also from Joys of the Season at 2 inches.
I know my pictures are not very good. I apologize for that. The card is made with grey and blue card stock. The pattern paper on the front is a light and dark  grey plaid. Hanukkah colors are blue and silver.

I hope you enjoy making this card for yourself or for a Jewish friend this holiday season.
Please stop by my blog and see other cards I have posted there.

Happy Hanukkah Card

Hello, it's Cindy from THE CREATIVE POINTE and I'm here with a Hanukkah card made using SVG diecuts from my HANUKKAH SET.  Even though I am not Jewish, I created this set because I thought it was important to offer something for those crafters who are.  I hope I included elements that can be used to create beautiful cards and layouts for the holiday.  For design details, please click over to my blog.

Festival of Lights

 Welcome back! It's Laury today.

I love popup cards. There is just something magical about them. This one is a 180 card meaning that it stands up when it is totally open. Some cards pop when they are opened 90 degrees.

This card was totally created using my KNK Zing. I used my pen tool, my embossing tool and my blade. The card folds flat so that it can be sent in the mail. I used a silver gel pen for the pen work.

To see more of this card, pop on over to my blog.

Don't forget to check back tomorrow for a new card!
Have a great day,
Laury

Christmas Ornament Invite

So, the theme this week is Christmas Ornaments...and I did this card a while back, to invite family and friends to our house for Christmas dinner!  I cut all the ornaments on my Klic-N-Kut machine, and it was so nice to have it at that time, as I was able to quickly assemble the card and mail out to everyone!

To make the card, I basically printed out the information, mounted on the center of a black quarter of paper.  I then embossed the stamp word "joy" around the sides and used a glitter embossing powder, heat set into place.  Again, the ornaments were cut with my die cut machine, used pop dots to put them in place, and then ribbon from the tops to make it look like they were hanging from the top!  Super easy!

Snowflake Keepsake Card

I love snowflakes! They remind me of cold winter mornings, clean, crisp air, and fond childhood memories. Some of my favorite ornaments on my tree are some crocheted snowflakes a neighbor gave me 20 years ago!  I’ve never attempted to crochet one until now, and thought it would make a great embellishment, er….. keepsake…. card! Please visit my blog at Garden’s Crafts ‘n More to see more about it!

Going back to it --

So my topic was Christmas Gift Card. I have quite a few friends that do not celebrate Christmas and also those I give gifts to at this time that it is not really a Christmas gift card. It's just great to have them help us throughout the year kinda gift. Horse Shoer, etc. Just that I appreciate their level of service even when life can be a struggle.  I was so frustrated with my last post two days ago on the blog that I took what started as a "religious gift card with crazy microbeads and revamped the front to make it into a gift card for one of those that are not "christmas" gifts but more holiday.

It's been a crazy week. What can I say? Just that it's been crazy. And I am still thinking microbeads might just be a pretty accent to my craft room shelf. And not a viable option for glueing as they are stuck on my fingers with glue. ha! on to the next adventure.

Have a great weekend!
Enjoy!

Gingerbread Gift card

Hello Patricia here, and I am bringing you the card of the day card.  We are continuing the theme of gift cards, and this card is simple in some ways, depending on your level of crafting.  I drew my inspiration on a the lone  gingerbread man.  The flavor is one of my favorites, and I remember making my first gingerbread sled in Home Economics.  The outside of the card is simple with a gingerbread man on the front, while the inside is made with pockets and I can show you how to make them over on my site, MDN Creates as well as the rest of the card. This is the perfect couples gift card holder.  Sort of a his and hers.
Tomorrow, we will continue the Christmas Gift card theme, and come back to see another card that Chris has made for us.

Gift Card

Today is my post on the Card A day blog. My theme is gift card. I need a religious one. I am trying to work more with these pretty little microbeads that I have. They just befuddle me. Yes I used the word befuddle me. In trying to make them look nice and even. But it just doesn't work no matter what I do. If you have some tips and tricks, I will take them. I will keep trying to add to the card and make them look better. I just gave up when I saw how crummy they looked.
Let me say tho…. I have a few very pretty jars of microbeads that add lovely color! Just so pretty.
Basically this is a card for a religious event we are having at Christmas time. i.e. the cross and I love this stamp. It's just pretty.
Please I beg you.. give me your microbead tips…. on my blog

Thank you!!
Enjoy!
Chris

Come back tomorrow for... Patricia Logan! Can't wait to see what she has to show you!

Nothing Says Home At Christmas...

Nothing says home at Christmas more so than your Christmas stocking. Growing up at home our stocking got hung up on the book case.
It was the first thing we attached in the morning, Mom could get so many things into that stocking including a tangerine in the toe. Now at our home we hang our stockings on our bookcase and my hubby is just as good as my Mom was at filling up a stocking and it's the first thing we attach! LOL!

To find out the particulars on this card you'll have to stop by my blog at Tina's Scrap Corner.

Stop by tomorrow and see what Christine Patton is doing with the new theme for the week.
