Thank you card

I would like to thank Diana Weber as one of the contributors to the Card a Day Blog!  She has decided to take a step back from this, as she has a ton going on right now (including the addition of a new grandbaby!)

We would like to let everyone know that this leaves a small hole in the Card a Day Blog, and as such, we are looking for 1-2 card makers that would like to participate in the CArd a Day Blog!  To be a Contributor for the blog, you need to commit to doing 1-2 posts a month on this blog, and to contribute to the blog hops, which we plan on hosting at least 3 a year!  If you are interested, please email me, support@paperthreads.com or comment on the post!

Here is Diana's last contribution to the Card a Day Blog:

Here is one of my favorite cards that I made, any of you that know me know I'm a sucker for anything that has to do with wine or grapes.  I also love thank you cards, I don't think you can send too many of them.  I do have this card available for purchase from Paperthreads.

Hello

I purchased some old books at a yard sale and have been using them as backgrounds to many cards and scrapbook pages.  The french book just seemed to work with these images that I cut out with my klick-n-kut machine.  Hope you like it.

butterfly card

Today's card I decided to leave with no sentiments on it, so you could see how it looks without, you can always add a sentiment, there is plenty of room, but I liked the look of it with nothing better.  I used glitter paper for the background and the butterfly and a embossing template with pearlized paper.  It has a lot of texture to it with the different papers and embossing.  I'm using my card for a Wedding invitation, on the inside I stamped silhouetted flowers and butterflies in the same blue as the butterfly.
Hope you like it.

Monogram Card

I made these for Christmas Presents one year, but it can be used for a anytime kind of present. Monogram cards are always useful, and great gifts, I used stampin up's border and scallop punch and I made another mat for the scallop with my klick-n-kut, but you can also use a bigger scallop punch.

Thanks for looking,
Diana

Fluer De Lis

I went to Hobby Lobby when they had a sale on cricut stuff so I got this fluer de lis folder, we are a scouting family and always have to send thank you's or Cards for Eagle Banquets, this embossing folder and file is wonderful for that, but it's also very masculine, you can use it for birthday, sympathy, etc. for the male in your life.

I do have this file available at paperthreads click on this link to purchase Fluer De Lis.

Thank you,
Diana

Spring Bird

This card is very simple to make, yet if you pair the picture with the embossing it makes a nice statement. I used a old stamp I had from the Angel Company, colored it with Prisma pencils and put a nice scallop in a darker color around it. Since it was a bird in a tree, the leaves embossing template was a perfect match, I used Color Core cardstock and sanded it, so the lighter core would show through, matted it with the same shade of green I used for the circle/picture and tied a ribbon that matched around it. I like to put the straight ribbon around the card, then cut another piece and tie it onto the ribbon on the card, that way I get a smoother straighter knot.

I hope you enjoyed this card.

Violet Spring Card

Today's card is a spring card, and violets always seem to pop up everywhere in spring.

Years ago I planted some in my garden and since then I've changed my garden around many times, but the violets pop up under a tree in my yard every year. I don't have the heart to weed them out, they look so pretty. I'm just now getting into coloring with copics and I used my original violet to try to simulate the colors. How did I do?

Come over to my blog and I'll give you the colors I used to make this card.  Diana's Designs

Wedding Card

I just love cards that have the white on white look, so I decided to make my card today with that look. This can be used as a wedding card or baptism card. I'm making demo cards for my daughter who is getting married sometime this year, so I have to make several of them for her to choose from, not sure if I want to put a saying on the outside or not. Details on how to make this card is on my blog

Enjoy,
Diana
