Thank you!

The theme for today is Thank you! I feel like I have so many to say Thank you to in my life. I made this for my son's soccer coach this year so I could slip a little gift card in it. And my son got to play with stickles so he was all on board. We could have made it a soccer ball card, but I think the coach was ready for a break so I thought I'd just make it a nice easy bright card.  Visit my blog for more details and closeup photos.

Enjoy!

WOOF! (that's "Thank You" in bulldog)

Hey, Card A Day Blog is going to the dogs!
Cindy here, from THE CREATIVE POINTE , with a "Thank You" card that I think is "adora-bull".  I'll bet you didn't know that "WOOF!" means "Thank You" in bulldog, did you?!  lol
I created this little card to thank my Mom & Dad for "bullysittting" my dog Millie.
I hope you'll pop over to my blog for a picture of the inside (which ties in the "WOOF!*") and all the creative details.  (As an added bonus if you scroll down, you'll see a picture of the real Millie on the right side column!)

A Big Thanks!

The theme this week is thank you's!  It couldn't have come at a better time to motivate me to make some card!  My son was confirmed this month, it was also his birthday...and so he has a few thank you's to send out!

That being said, the one I'm featuring today is one I made for a friend of mine, it's a bit frilly, but was fun to make!

It was really quite simple to make!  For a change, I didn't use a stamp that needed a lot of coloring, but I still found a way to use my copics!

I used a thank you stamp, some nestabilities, ric rac ribbon, scrap papers and a fiber mesh material, which I airbrushed to give it some color depth.  Then the peals glued in place, and it's done!

Quick and easy, and easy enough to pop out a dozen of them at one time!

See my blog for full details!

Happy Card Making!

Iris Thank You Card

It's Laury back today with an Iris Card, well actually 3 but who is counting and they all use the same design sort of...

I had a lot of fun with these cards. The bird design comes from a book I recently purchased.  I loved it  and had to make it up. Hop on over to my blog for more on how these cards were made. They are fun and easy to make.

Many of the designs in the book used paper from security envelopes. I had never realized how many outstanding patterns are on the inside of an envelope. Another thing to collect....

The two little cards could be attached to a plant or small gift, the larger card can be sent. I hope you are inspired to try something new, Until next time, Stay Calm and Create!

Happy Father's Day

Hello, Patricia here, and is it almost June.  The month where school is recessing for the Summer, vacation time and honoring fathers.   Speaking of fathers, I talk about my own over on my blog, MDN Creates, and I have all the materials listed to make the card you see above.   It looks complicated, but it is about a beginner second level, and requires a little paper piecing and a fragment piece from Tim Holtz.  It is very masculine, and you can use you scraps on this card.  I have never used fragments on my cards and this is my first time buying Washi Tape.  If you never heard of Washi Tape, it is made out of tissue paper.   I hope you enjoy it.

Please enter the challenge below to win a prize for this month.   Come back tomorrow to see what Chris has you to see.  Take care.

Fishing for Dad

Father's Day cards just aren't as easy to make as Mother's day!  I think it just has to do with the fact that most of us card makers are women, and we can completely get into the feminine side of card making, and so that makes it harder to get into our less frilly self!

Here is a great card for that Fishing Fanatic in the house...either for Dad or Grandpa!

The shaped card is from a file in a Great Outdoors Collection of diecut files, and can be purchased individually too....at the Paperthread's Store.

It's easy to put together....you cut and layer the pieces, and you can either cut the dashed lines, and then highlight with color or ink, or hand draw the lines, giving a stitching effect.

I also used a small fishing lure stamp on the inside of the card, you can see just a slight bit of it in the bottom right corner!

Hope you enjoy!!

I do have this file available at paperthreads click on this link to purchase Fluer De Lis.

Little Boat Invite

Hello Everyone. This is Terri from   http://ramblingsofatexascraftroom.blogspot.com. I wanted to share with you today an Invite card. I made this invite using Paper Doll Dress up Cart. It is the cutest little sail boat. I saw a card similar to the one I made. I think it was on Pinterst but I couldn't locate it. I  just hate when I see something that interest me but don't Pin it , then want it later. So this isn't my original idea  but I'm not sure where the idea came from.

Stop over at my blog and  get the direction on how I put this adorable little invite together. It is fast and easy. This invite would be great for a kids party or a party at the lake.
Be sure and come back tomorrow and see what great card Shelly has for you. I know you will be inspired by her design.

Laury back again. So... Who says a card must be flat?

I ran across paper fortune cookies recently and liked the idea. For today's card, I packaged up 3 fortune cookies in a little takeout box with a tag, chop sticks and flowers on the side. Event information is folded into the cookies!

May you find comfort in Gods Love

Hello Everyone
Its so good to be back on CADB. Today I made a card for you that would make a great sympathy card. The cut came from a Cricut cartridge called Inspired Heart. At first glance I wasn't to crazy about this cart. But as I take a second look there are a few things on this cart that could be useful for card making.
Head on over to my Blog http://ramblingsofatexascraftroom.blogspot.com/ and see all the details on how to make this card.
Thanks so much for stopping by. Remember to join our challenges and stop by tomorrow for a wonderful card Patricia has for you.
