On the Road-Travel Card
Hello Patricia here to bring you another card from my blog, MDN Creates. This time the theme is travel, and we are on the road again. There is a story behind this card and you can read it on my blog, but it is for a friend's mom who will be leaving my home town to move in with her in one of the southern states. I thought this would be a perfect time for me to make a card. By now the mom and the card should be safely there. But this card is a pocket card on the inside. The larger tag is the pocket, while there is a smaller tag in the pocket. I hope you enjoy looking at the card. Before you hop on over, be sure to enter the July challenge for a chance to win a prize. In the meantime, check back to this blog tomorrow when Jill will bring you a new card and a new theme of the week. This is the last day for this theme, travel. Enjoy your day.

On the road again..... A Card
Hi! It's Laury today with a traveling card which as it turns out is what I have been doing a lot of.
This little card started out with a prototype which I further developed. Prototypes are a great way to get an idea down. They can be made with whatever scraps are laying around and they can be cut with simple scissors. Color is not important just get the basic idea down. Here is the prototype for the above card.
Much changed, I have found that one idea leads to another... To see more on how this card was created, Jump on over to my blog. (btw I also posted a picture of my darling granddaughter and me).
Hope you found a little inspiration today, and try making a few practice runs next time you make a card.

- Card base is 6 inches square.
- Rub on border and sentiment at the bottom is from KaiserCraft “Peachy Keen Collection”
- Vase is made from a scrap piece of cardstock, cut approx. 2 1/2 inches by 3 inches, angled in towards the top, and adhered to the card front so it is somewhat dimensional.
- Flowers and leaves are from a bargain bin at the scrapbook store (60 petals for $5)

Happy Birthday girl-Monochromatic
Hello, it's Patricia and I am bringing you a monochromatic card in pink. This card is for a little girl who is crazy for pink. That would be my niece, Nine'na, and even though she is turning 4 in September, I decided to make this is card in her honor this month. There are three shades of pink on the card, and I popped up a couple of the cupcakes. I made it simple, because of my niece. Come on over to MDN Creates, my blog to see how I made this card. Before you come over, be sure to enter your card in the challenge below.
Come back tomorrow to see what Shelly has for you to see. This is the last day for the monochromatic themed card, and tomorrow starts a new theme called New (School, job, home), and I will see you next time.

One color - Many shades - Love those gelatos
Welcome Back! It's Laury again with today's new card!
I recently attended a Scrapbook Expo here in New Jersey. Soooo much to see!!
One demo I was anxious to see was how to stamp with Faber Castile's Gelatos. They are a smooth paste watercolor that comes in a push up "lipstick" tube. They come in lots of colors, more were added this year. I bought some last year and was not impressed... But after the demo, I realized what I had been doing wrong (too much water). Basically you apply the paint directly on the stamp and then stamp it! You can also give it a gentle mist before stamping to deepen the colors. Misting after you stamp will allow further impressions before you have to "re-ink".
Jump on over to my blog for more information on how this card was made.
See you next time! And don't forget to enter the challenge!

"Just The Ticket" Teen Birthday Card
Hello! Cindy here from THE CREATIVE POINTE finishing up our week of "Teen" theme cards. I felt a little at a disadvantage as I don't have any teenagers of my own, and most of the teens in my family are my nephews---which meant I couldn't fall back on my favorite "Girly" themes! lol
But I think I found just the "ticket" for any teen with this bold and bright card.
You'll find the easy details over at my blog. And just for fun I show the cut files I would use to make a "Girly" teen card.
Hope you'll stop back tomorrow as Shelley kicks off our new theme:
