Teen Birthday Card

Hi everyone, Vicki from Paper Squirrel, here kicking off a new theme for this week...TEENS.  Yep, anything teen-related is welcome in the challenge.  I created this fun birthday card for my nephew's last teen birthday...he'll be 19 this week!

The blue, red, gold primary  color palette is youthful, yet masculine and the fun patterned paper and quotation background stamp said "teen" to me.

Oh my, I can’t believe we’re just about halfway through April already!!  We’re getting a jump on Mother’s Day cards this week and will be bringing you lots of inspiration.

This is Vicki from PAPER SQUIRREL and I'm kicking off our Mother's Day theme with this card that I made for my soon-to-be mother-in-law.  I’ve had these pieces and parts laying on my craft table for MONTHS…planned for a whole other project.  But I thought to myself:  obviously I’m not too captivated by said planned project, or I would have made it by now!  So I made this card instead....plan B.

I can't wait to see what Shelley Bordeleau has in store for us tomorrow!

Hi all, it's Vicki from Paper Squirrel!  I admit, I love all things Tim Holtz, and though I'm sure his new Distress Paints are magical, I thought I'd see what I could do with my abandoned rack full of ordinary, non-Tim paints. Hello all, it's Vicki from Paper Squirrel.  I know it seems a little early for carols, but in our busy worlds, it's never too early to start on your handmade Christmas cards.  We are kicking off Christmas cards with this week's theme...yep, you guessed it...

Home for Christmas!  

Yet again, I was inspired by a wonderful vintage image found online.  I think it was the quaint, fairy tale nature of the house and the starry night sky.  It also has a 1970's-ish color scheme which was a fun challenge in itself.  Come visit me at PAPER SQUIRREL for all the details, more photos, and of course, the source of that cute vintage image!
